Uthara Swayamvaram Synopsis

The story moves around Prakash (Jayasurya) and Uthara (Roma) who belong to a Palakkadan Village. Prakash is a graduate who doesn`t have any job, but is engaged in various frivolous issues and activities of an arts club in the village. He has an inclination towards Uthara, the daughter of rich jeweler Mahadevan, since his childhood. Even though Prakash is sure that he will not be able to win Uttara`s heart, he does everything possible in order to achieve her hand in marriage. What follows is a journey through hilarious situations he has to face, which forms the outline of the movie Uttara Swayamvaram.

Directed by debutant Ramakant Sarju, the movie Uttara Swayamvaram has Jayasurya and Roma in lead roles.

The supporting cast include Lalu Alex, Nedumudi Venu, Biju Kuttan, Balachandra Menon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shobha Mohan, Sukumari and others. Gireesh Puthencherry has penned the lyrics for M. Jaya Chandran`s music. Salu George handles the camera. The movie is produced under the banner of Pavithram Creations by Santhosh Pavithram and will be releasing on 6th of November 2009.
