Puthiya Mugham Synopsis

As the title conveys, `In this world of faces, some incidents can change us with many faces`, Puthiya Mugham portraits how life of an ordinary guy will change with unexpected happenings, making him to take new Avatars. This is a campus based family story which devotes equal importance to love and action.

Krishna Kumar(Prithviraj),is a typical Brahmin youth living in a village of Kalpathy near Palakkad. An exponent in Mridangam, this quite shy and soft spoken lad is the pet of all villagers. He is in love with sreedevi, daughter of their family friend residing closer to their village.

The eventful journey starts when he gets admission in an engineering college in Kochi. Initially he was seemed to be an old fashioned country boy but later it is his inborn talents made him popular among the students. In campus, he has got many friends but Anjana,(Priyamani) daughter of a superior police officer becomes the intimate one among them. Sudhi (Bala), a rich guy in college likes to marry Anjana who is also his family friend. When the friendship between Kichi and Anjana blooms up, there arise some newer issues which create hasty changes in Krishnakumar`s life.

Directed by Deepam, an associate to leading film maker Shaji Kailash, Puthiya Mugham ensures to bring a sheen to Prithviraj`s career as an actor. National award winning actress Priyamani (Anjana) and Meera Nandhan (Sreedevi) features as heroines. There appear Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Sai Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Sudheesh, Kalasala Babu and Sona Nair in other important roles. Deepak Dev composed music for the lyrics of Kaithapram. Bharani handles the Camera. This big budget movie has been scripted by ‘Mulla’ fame M Sindhuraj. Puthiya Mugham is being produced by Anil Mathew and Murukan under the banner of Badestha and the movie will be brought to theatres by Time Ads.
