All eyes were on 'La La Land' on the big night of 89th Academy Awards, but it looks like 'Moonlight' hogged the limelight.

'La La Land' bagged six trophies, but 'Moonlight' defeated the musical flick in the run for 'Best film.'

On this note, 'Moonlight' won three Oscars, with Mahershala Ali (Best Supporting Actotr) as the first Muslim actor to win one ever,

Other than that, Emma Stones, won the 'Best Actress' trophy and Damien Chazelle became the 'Best Director' for 'La La Land.'

Casey Affleck won the award of 'Best Actor' for 'Manchester by the Sea,' which also won an award in the 'Original Screenplay' category.

Viola Davis also completes 'triple crown of acting' by winning an Oscar in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category for 'Fences.'
