I'm Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona Review

Refreshingly different `I`m Sorry...` is a must watch (IANS Movie Review)

Rating: *** 1/2

Debutant director Ravindra has done a neat job in "I`m Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona", about feelings like suspicion, trust, sanctity and compulsions in the relationship of a happily married couple. It is a refreshingly different film.

In a way, the film`s story also deals with the pressures of modern life where both husband and wife acquire a degree of maturity and are prepared to give space to each other. Despite the lack of so-called commercial elements such as too much of silly comedy and fights, Ravindra has been successful in narrating the film in an interesting manner.

The film`s technical values are of top standard and the colourful presentation is pleasing to the eyes.

The main problem with the film is the dialogues by Guru Prasad, which gets preachy. Also, every character in the film talks in the similar fashion despite their different upbringing and background.

The film shows up the efforts of director Ravindra in every frame. Besides the presentation, Ravindra has been able to extract the best from the artists. The surprise element is Karishma Tanna, who had been seen in many popular Hindi serials.

Prem, desperately in need of success, has also given his best in a very demanding role.

The story line is very thin, but suspense element is absorbing. The director has been able to bring in an emotional confrontation into the story, which is quite effective.

The beauty of the film is that it has an interesting turn after a particular incident, but the narrative does not have any dragging moment despite the fact that the story revolves around the same incident thereafter.

And the twists in the film gets curious overtones which enables the audience to watch the film with deep interest. Ravindar successfully engages the vieweres throughout the film.

The story is that Shyam, a Mr. Clean, gets married to Chethana. They lead a contended life for some time, but when Shyam meets Sinchana, a young woman running a brothel, changes his life.

Shyam advises the young lady to reform. He comes back to home to confess about the incident to his wife and promises her that he will never go to such places even accidentally.

Meanwhile, Sinchana challenges Shyam that she can prove that love and romance can exist even with her social networking work.

Sinchana says that she has a contact who can be trustworthy and can show her true love towards her client. At this point Shyam somehow places the needle of suspicion on his own wife. Later it is revealed that his wife is suffering from brain tumour which comes as a shock to Shyam. On the day when Shyam has to meet Sinchana`s contact, she informs him that the girl is dead. A shocking Shyam learns that his wife is also dead on the same day.

Karishma gives top class performance as Chethana. She looks glamorous and is a treat to watch in the songs.

Prem has worked hard and he proves that he can take up different type of roles. Sanjjana has a good role in the film and she has been able to deliver a good performance. Tabala Naani is quite good.

Anoop Sileen has given different tunes for all the five songs of the film. Ashok Kashyap is as usual exceptional behind the camera.

"I`m Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona" is a must watch.
