Actress Parul Yadav, who is all set to be seen in the Kannada
remake of the 2014 Bollywood film "Queen", says she treasures all the movies she
has done till date.
"'Queen' is definitely a milestone in Indian cinema
and I am excited to be a part of it but I treasure all the movies I have done
till date, as those movies are what made me what I am today," Yadav told IANS
over e-mail from Paris.
The actress is currently shooting for the remake
titled "Butterfly" in Paris and will be seen reprising the role of Rani, which
was essayed by Kangana Ranaut in the Vikas Bahl directorial.
Parul hopes
to be a part of many more path-breaking films.
"So, I believe all the
films were of utmost importance to me and I am hoping to be a part of many more
great movies," she said.
Will "Butterfly" have a strong hold in the
Kannada film industry like "Queen"?
"Yes definitely! The story is
universal and something everyone can relate to," she said.
Parul feels
happy that a lot of remakes are being made in Indian cinema.
"I think
great stories need to be told in as many languages as possible and it's
irrelevant who tells the story first. The point is to put the story across and
inspire," she said.
Parul made her acting debut with the 2004 Tamil film
"Dreams" starring Dhanush and Diya. Since then, she has featured in several
Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil movies.
Television actress Hina Khan, who is
currently featuring in the 11th season of "Bigg Boss", made a sly comment saying
"fat and bulging" are the requirements for the South film industry.
Asked
her opinion on the same, Parul said: "May be that's her thought process. Well, I
am an actress down south and I don't have a bulging and voluptuous figure, that
pretty much clarifies the statement."
