Alphonse Putharen is an Indian film director, editor, writer and commercial ad maker. He made his directorial debut with the Tamil - Malayalam bilingual film Neram in 2013.
He directed a music video Nenjodu Cherthu from the album Yuvvh, starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim became "hugely popular".

In the year 2015, he directed the blockbuster movie 'Premam' which has become very popular among the youngsters. He wrote the screenplay, edited and also played a cameo role in that film.
