Popular Malayalam actress, dancer Divya Unni ties the knot with Mumbai based Malayali software professional Arun Kumar Manikandan. The wedding took place at Sree Guruvayoorappan temple in Houston on Sunday. The ceremony was a strictly private and attended by very close relatives and friends. Divya took her facebook page and posted a wedding photo and wrote – “Thank you so much for the love, blessings and prayers. My gratitude to everyone who sent us their blessings and good wishes.”

Arun, an engineer from Thiruvananthapuram, has been working in Houston for the past four years. Divya Unni was one of the sought-after actresses in Malayalam in the 90s. She started her career as an actress in ‘Kalyana Sowgandhikam’ in 1996 at the age of 14 years. She has acted in over more than 60 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Her noted films are Pranayavarnangal and Bharathan’s last movie Churam. Divya is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and started learning the dance form since she was 3 years old. She was the 'Kalathilakom' in 1990 and 1991, in Kerala School Kalolsavam statewise competitions.
Divya moved to the US after getting married in 2002 and hasn’t appeared much in films since then. She announced her separation with husband Dr. Sudhir Sekharan in 2016. She has two children, Arjun and Meenakshi from her first marriage. Divya is presently continuing her performances in dance in the US as she resides there.
