Santhi Mohandas, dancer and wife of Music director Bijibal passes away

Music director Bijibal's wife Santhi Mohandas, 36 died on
Tuesday evening at a private hospital in Ernakulam. She was 36.
She was under
treatment for the last 10 days following cerebral hemorrhage.
Santhi was a
professional dancer, who also runs a dance school. She got married to Bijibal in
2002. The couple has two children, Daya, 8 and Devdhath, 13.
Her recently choreographed and presented classical dance to
the tune composed by Bijibal had gone viral. The Sanskrit composition on Goddess
Saraswathi in Shreeranjani raga was sung by Soumya Ramakrishnan and Sangeeta
Srikant. The lyrics were written by Santhosh Varma. Santhi did her BFA (Bachelor
of Fine Arts) and MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Bharatanatyam. Post that, she was
doing research on Mohiniyattam.
