Malayalam Scripwriter T.A. Shahid passes away

Noted Malayalam film script writer T A Shahid passed away on Friday. 41-year-old Shahid had been under treatment for kidney ailment for the past one month.

Shahid began his career in films as an assistant director in movie 'Cheppidi Vidya'. He is the younger brother of noted scriptwriter T.A. Razak

.'Mathsaram' was the first film for which he had written the script.

Balettan was his first box-office hit ,which gave him a big break. Shahid had penned scripts for hit films like Mammootty-starrer 'Rajamanikyam', 'Nattu Rajavu', 'Bus Conductor', 'Pachakkuthira', 'Mambazhakkalam'.

He was survived by wife Sheeja and daughters, Akhila and Alitha.
