Actress Rachel Weisz has been roped in to play an evil witch in "Oz: The Great and Powerful".

The film directed by Sam Raimi stars James Franco as a snake oil salesman who finds himself dealing with real magic when his balloon carries him into a fabled land and he runs into witches, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Weisz would play Evanora, a powerful witch who intends to rule the land, and Theadora Kunis will also be seen in it.
