Court complaint against 'Dum Maro Dum' song

A complaint has been filed in a court in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city against Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and makers of "Dum Maaro Dum" for an alleged indecent and obscene dance number in the Hindi film.

The movie's director Rohan Sippy, producer Ramesh Sippy and music director Pritam Chakraborty have been named in the complaint.

The complainant, Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Pal Road area in Jodhpur, some 330 km from state capital Jaipur, approached a metropolitan magistrate's court and filed the complaint against a song in the film Wednesday.

Kumar has alleged that his religious sentiments were hurt by mention of some Hindu deities in the song.

"The court is to record my statement June 6," said Kumar.

"Dum Maaro Dum" is a crime thriller film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar. Deepika has done an item number in the movie. The film was released April 11.
