Teen starlet Miley Cyrus, who recently declared that she is not trying to expose, was seen in a skin-baring black leotard with black leather shorts while performing at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto.

"I think that’s fine. I just love performing. I definitely just feel most comfortable. I don't take myself too seriously. We are up there just dressing up; we are just having fun. It's about the girls and guys who are living their dream playing dress up," Usmagazine quoted Cyrus as saying.

"I don’t walk around in a bikini and bright red lipstick all the time. Cause that's just who you are when you are performing and what goes into that song," she added.

The 17-year-old performed the "Party in the U.S.A." which won her the International Video Of The Year by an Artist. She changed the lyrics from "a Jay-Z song was on" to a "JB song was on" as singer Justin Bieber joined her on stage, igniting roars of applause.

Cyrus was recently criticised for exposing herself during her performances.
