After her stint as a Bond girl in "Quantum of Solace"
opposite Daniel Craig, English actress Gemma Arterton, who will
now be seen in epic "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time"
with legend Sir Ben Kingsley, says "everything has happened
very quickly".
"Since the Bond film came out, everything has happened
very quickly, I'm really starting to feel it. Usually I can
get on with my work and not think about it but it's actually
had an effect on my life now," Gemma said during an e-mail
interaction from Morocco.
"It is mad what has happened in a year. In a year I think
I've done eight films. I don't know how I've done it though,"
added the actress who was last seen in fantasy epic "Clash
of the Titans" opposite Sam Worthington.
Asked how has it been to work with actors like Craig and Sir
Ben, she said: "It is absolutely inspiring. I tend to go
into things head first and not really think about what I am
doing which is sometimes better than going, 'Oh my god, I'm
just about to act with Sir Ben Kingsley'".
"Then you are yourself and that's what they want ultimately
anyway. You're just another actor working with them on a film.
It's brilliant but I don't think I get too worried about it.
I probably should, when I'm being all cheeky and scampy with
Sir Ben Kingsley, but no, it's brilliant and an honour,"
she added.
Inspired by the best-selling video game series, "Prince
of Persia: The Sands of Time" has been directed by Mike
Newell. It is releasing May 28 worldwide.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and distributed by Walt Disney
Pictures, the epic action-adventure fantasy also stars Jake
Gyllenhaal and Alfred Molina.
Set in the mystical lands of Persia, the movie is about a rogue
prince and a mysterious princess who race against dark forces
to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the sands
of time - a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow
its possessor to rule the world.
