With every success, does he feel more pressurised as an actor?
"Pressure on any actor, I feel, is always there even after
10 films. As actors, we all want our audience to like our work;
so even if you ask me this question after five years I will
say yes I want to work harder and harder to be loved by my audience,"
he added.
Another facet that Imran's career graph shows is his association
with mainly debutant directors.
Asked if he ever felt skeptical while working with a newcomer,
the actor clarified: "Working with new directors was not
planned in any such manner. It kept coming my way and I took
it up. I never had any doubts about any of the new directors
I have worked with. They all sounded confident and moreover
I liked the scripts."
Right now the actor is happy with the positive reviews his
recent film "Break Ke Baad" has got.
Talking about the camaraderie he shared with co-star Deepika,
Imran said: "Deepika is a fantastic person and very hard
working. We have become very thick friends now."
"Everyone kept saying she is taller but you won't believe
it we actually measured our height and I was an inch taller
than her!" the actor proudly claimed.
Asked whether in real life he had ever taken a break from his
nine-year relationship with fiancee Avantika Malik, Imran said
he doesn't believe in breaks personally.
"I personally don't believe in the concept of a break.
I believe either you are in a relationship or you're not. There
is nothing like break. If the relationship isn't working out,
then one should opt out. It's something I don't understand,"
he said.
After a successful 2010, the actor is now looking forward to
films like "Delhi Belly" and "Mere Brother Ki
Dulhan" in the coming year.
