Nowadays, B-town actors go to great lengths to get into the skin of their characters and the new addition to this league is actor Shahid Kapoor.

The 35-year-old, who recently was spotted at an event, has donned a beefed up look for his upcoming movie 'Padmavati' and feels quite excited about it.

When quizzed on the same, Sasha said, 'When you are playing the character of a king, you need to have a certain personality. At that time, people were not lean or skinny. So to play a Rajput king, a warrior and to carry such outfits, Sanjay sir wanted me to be a little muscular and full, but of course, not fat.'

Further ignoring the questions on the controversy related to the movie, the 'Udta Punjab' star said that people should watch it, before passing judgement.

'I think people should watch the movie and then pass their judgement. We will resume shooting really soon. I will join them as soon as I finish 'Rangoon's promotions,' he added.

On this note, Vishal Bhardwaj directed 'Rangoon,' which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut, is all set to hit the screens on February 24.
