London, Nov 3

Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg has been honoured by the Anti-Defamation League for his work in human rights.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker, 62, will be presented with America's Democratic Legacy Award at the league's annual Los Angeles fundraiser Dec 9, reports contactmusic.com.

Executives have hailed the "Schindler's List" maker as a "true champion of human rights" for his contributions to film and television, in addition to his philanthropic endeavours.

"American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert and Israeli singer Noa Dori will be performing at the event.
