Abhishek Bachchan admits he is going to team up with wife Aishwarya
Rai for Rajiv Menon's next project - a remake of the 1973 evergreen
hit film "Abhimaan". But Abhishek clarifies that it wouldn't
be an exact copy of the film his parents starred in.
"Yes, Rajiv is a very dear friend. He directed Aishwarya earlier
in the Tamil film 'Kandukondain Kandukondain'. He approached us with
a subject that isn't exactly a remake of 'Abhimaan'. But it's very similar.
We've both approved and attached ourselves to the subject," Abhishek
told IANS.
This will be his seventh film with Aishwarya after "Dhaai Akshar
Prem Ke" (2000), "Kuch Naa Kaho" (2003), "Umrao
Jaan" (2006), "Guru" (2007), "Dhoom 2" (2007)
and "Sarkar Raj" (2008) and Mani Ratnam's next, "Ravan".
For the moment, Abhishek's kitty is full.
"I'm also doing Rohan Sippy's next. We'll try to do something
as different as 'Bluffmaster'. I'm also doing Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's
'Paanch Kaurav' with pa (Amitabh Bachchan)," he said.
