Veteran Malayalam Actor Abi Passes Away!

Veteran comedian and mimicry artiste Aby (52) passed away
this morning in Kochi. He was undergoing treatment after blood platelet count
came down at a private hospital in Kochi.
Abi started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan,
Harisree and Cochin Sagar troupes. He was one among the pioneers who made
mimicry much popular in Kerala. Dileep-Nadirsha-Abi team was a superhit combo of
the 90s. His character as 'Aamina Thaatha' in many stages and audio casettes
gave him more popular in malayalees. He had acted in more than 50 films also.
Some of his notable movies are Mazhavil Koodaram, Kireedamillatha Rajakkanmar,
Sainym, Mimics Action 500, Aniyathipraavu etc.
He is survived by wife Sunila, and children Ahana and Aleena.
Young actor Shane Nigam is the son of Abi.
