Actor Krishna Kulasekaran says director
Feroz, with whom he has teamed up for the first time in forthcoming
Tamil action-thriller "Pandigai", brought out the best in him in the
most unexpected fashion.
"After my brother (director Vishnuvardhan), I must admit Feroz is one
director who extracted maximum from me and pushed me out of my comfort
zone. He brought out the best in me and he did that very subtly, in the
most unexpected manner," Krishna told IANS.
In the film, Krishna plays a street fighter.
He is thankful that he didn't have to sport six-pack abs to play his
part.
"I was relieved when Feroz told me I didn't have to have six-pack abs.
I'm very lazy and I know I would have struggled to shed weight.
Thankfully, Feroz told me I was good to act the way I looked," he said.
Produced by actress Vijayalakshmi, "Pandigai" is slated for July 7
release.
On teaming up with Vijayalakshmi, a long-time friend, Krishna said:
"When she called and asked me if I would like to listen to Feroz's
script, I immediately agreed because it's her film. Feroz narrated the
first half and Viji narrated the second."
