Feb 27, 2017
Singer-actor Justin Timberlake opened the star-studded 89th
Academy Awards ceremony here with his Oscar-nominated song 'Can't stop
this feeling' that got everyone on their feet.
Dressed in a black and white tuxedo, he entered the stage
area of Dolby Theatre here on Sunday with a bang. He got the Who's Who of the
industry dancing to his song, which is nominated in the Best Music (Original
Song) at this year's Oscars.
This is the first Academy Award nomination for Timberlake,
whose wife and actress Jessica Biel, glittering in gold, was spotted enjoying
his performance from the animated film 'Trolls'.
During his performance, he asked: 'Hollywood, you look
lovely tonight. But do you feel lovely tonight?'
They seemed to feel lovely as celebrities like actress Nicole
Kidman and her star husband Keith Urban, actor Dev Patel, actress Meryl Streep
and actor Matt Damon were seen applauding and dancing to the song.
Timberlake then introduced the ceremony's host Jimmy Kimmel,
who continued this year's awards season trend of taking a jibe at US President
Donald Trump.
